Malaga airport has closed the first quarter of 2011

A total of 2,098,082 people visited the Malaga airport in the first three months of the year; 2,077,709 of this people used commercial flights which mean an increase of 7.3 percent. More than 557,000 travelled between Spanish cities (+4.3 percent) and over a million and a half did on international flights (+8.4 percent).
International operations just grew a 8.1 percent in the first three months of the year, while the number of national movements grew 1.8 percent over the same period, as reported by Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (Aena) in a statement.

Month of March
In addition, the month of March, just one year after the commissioning of the T3, there has been an increase in passengers of 9.2 percent with respect to the same month of the previous year, in particular. There have been specifically a total of 868,628 passengers.
Takeoffs and landings also grew a 7.4 percent, bringing the number of operations up to 7,657 flights. These growths are also reproduced by sectors during the past month of March.
Thus, the number of passengers between Spanish cities grew a 2.6 percent up to 214.229, while the passengers of international flights were 11% percent higher: 647.572 passengers who mostly travelled on flights to or from United Kingdom -269.912 passengers, Germany – 75.966- and France -42.185-.
Of a total of 7.657 flights operated in March in the Malaga airport, 7.358 were commercial operations (+8.9 percent), 4.937 (+11 percent) were international flights and 2.421 domestic flights (+5 percent).
